Two Mrs. Universe (Official) 2022 delegates crowned

Two empowered Filipina mothers were chosen to compete in the Mrs. Universe Official pageant next year. 

Monique Cantalejo Rivera and Christine Escalante were crowned as Mrs. Universe Asia 2022 & Mrs. Universe Australasia 2022, respectively, during the finals of Mrs. Universe Australia pageant on Dec. 26. 



Unable to fly to Australia to compete in the face to face pageant due travel restrictions brought about by Covid-19, Christine and Monique joined the coronation night virtually.

Prior to the finals, they submitted several pageant requirements such as talent, tourism, long gown and advocacy videos. 

They also underwent virtual interviews initiated by the organizers headed by Mrs. Universe Australia CEO Ms. Maryrose Salubre .

As they are announced winners in Australia, their Official Sashing and Crowning was held simultaneously at Pandan Asian Café in Quezon City.

Crowning Rivera is 2019 Elite Mrs. Philippines International Michelle Vitug Encarnacion together with Bb. Pilipinas 2021 finalist Patrizia Garcia. 

She also received two special awards - Mrs. Aura Universe and Mrs. Universe Ambassador. The awards were given by Bennilyn Amigo-Molina of Aura Wellness and Beauty, Roxanne Velasco of Rox Fragrances & Janna Dominquez of Skinfinite. 

Meanwhile, Escalante was crowned by Ms. L - CEO of  LaL’or, Seduction and Hygeia together with Director Erwina Arguelles. 

Her two special awards - Mrs. Universe Ambassador and Mrs. Australasia Official were handed out by beauty queen Michelle Lucas of Kampai Sushi Bar - Lafang Gastro Pub and Ms. L.

Rivera's and Escalante’s titles allow them to compete in the 2022 Mrs. Universe Official international pageant scheduled September next year in Australia.

STAR CITY TO REOPEN ON JANUARY 14

Star City , the country's biggest air conditioned, all weather theme park reopens its doors to the public on January 14, 2022.  Rebuilt with rides and attractions for all age groups, and providing moderate to extreme thrills for people of all walks of life, the park soft opening  kickstarts its move to regain a solid reputation built o seever three decades as a world-class recreational complex where the public can derive maximum enjoyment from stimulating array of indoor and outdoor attractions again and again.
