Toni Luaton formally crowned as Mrs. Tourism Ambassador for Education 2021

Exactly two months after she won, TONIRUTH 'Toni' Manzano LUATON, a Licensed Professional Teacher, was formally crowned as Mrs. Tourism Ambassador for Education 2021 in a simple and initimate ceremony held last Sunday, October 3.




Megastar Productions CEO Ovette Ricalde (right, top photos) was assisted by Prince Vio II in the sashing and crowning of Luaton.






Luaton was one of the winners in the 4th edition of Mrs. Tourism Beauty Pageant held virtually on August 3 where she also bagged the Best in Talent 1st runner-up Award. 



Fondly called as Toni by her family, friends and peers, 36-year old Toni is a Grade 2 teacher at Barangay Kaybanban Paradise Farms Community  School in San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan.

PROFESSIONAL AWARDS 

Luaton recently received the  ICONIC TEACHER FOR THE HOLISTIC DEVELOPMENT OF THE STUDENTS given by the World Education Icon Awards for 2021. 

Speaking of awards, she shared that no less her students acknowledged her teaching skills and ability when they honored her with the BEST TEACHER AWARD, a rarity in teaching profession. 


OPEN FORUM



As the whole universe is celebrating 'World's Teachers Day' on Oct. 5, this blogger asked Mam Luaton two questions during the Open Forum, dubbed as "the graded recittation" by event host par excellence Onin Mas. 

• What is the essence of being a teacher? 

  •  Luaton : "The essence of being a teacher is being able to hone future leaders, being able to develop students to become a strong and productive individuals.'

•  What advice/advices will you give to aspiring teachers? 

   •  Luaton  : "I will tell aspiring teachers that in teaching profession, they must possess a strong personality because there are many challenges they will encounter, be resilient in times of difficulties and they must be able to rise above the problems that will cross their paths." 


BEST PAGEANT DIRECTOR RECOGNITION 



Before the conclusion of the event, Mam Luaton conferred Ricalde, popularly known as the "Mother of All Pageants," with a Plaque of Appreciation as BEST PAGEANT DIRECTOR. 

Ricalde was overwhelmed as this recognition is a big surprise coming from a certified beauty queen. 


GUESSING GAME  



As Luaton turns a year younger on Oct. 19, Mam Toni conducted a Guessing Game about her personal trivias in 3 categories : Easy, Average and Difficult with cash prizes to the delight of the attendees. 

This blogger won the ultimate question from Mam Toni: 'What is my favorite color?'  

My answer : "Red.'

Ably hosted by Megastar Productions's "Forever Host," Onin, the Victory Presscon was attended by Toni's family including her 10-year old son, close friends, her school's principal and co-teachers, select pageant bloggers and Team Megastar Productions (Ovette Ricalde, Prince Vio Mhel Luna, Norman Hernandez Manuel and Mack Rhol Mahilum Contiga.

Two Mrs. Universe (Official) 2022 delegates crowned

Photos by Celso De Guzman Caparas Cristine Escalante and Monique Cantalejo Rivera Two empowered Filipina mothers were chosen to compete in the Mrs. Universe Official pageant next year.  Monique Cantalejo Rivera and Christine Escalante were crowned as Mrs. Universe Asia 2022 & Mrs. Universe Australasia 2022, respectively, during the finals of Mrs. Universe Australia pageant on Dec. 26.  Unable to fly to Australia to compete in the face to face pageant due travel restrictions brought about by Covid-19, Christine and Monique joined the coronation night virtually. Prior to the finals, they submitted several pageant requirements such as talent, tourism, long gown and advocacy videos.  They also underwent virtual interviews initiated by the organizers headed by Mrs. Universe Australia CEO Ms. Maryrose Salubre .
