Beauty, brains and honor.

Those adjectives hold true to recently-crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2021 BEATRICE LUIGI G. GOMEZ. 



Gomez, a Philippine Navy reservist, was promoted to the  rank of Sergeant during her courtesy call with Rear Admiral PN Cdr. Dorvin Legaspi and Flag Officer In Command (FOIC), Vice Adm. Adeluis Bordado at the HQ Naval Reserve Command, Intramuros, Manila on Tuesday, Oct. 12.





The Philippine Navy said, "A Plaque of Recognition was also given to Sergeant Gomez following the simple donning of rank ceremony for her invaluable contributions and accomplishments as a member of the PN Reserve Force.  She was lauded whose recent feat also brought honor and pride to the Philippine Marine Corps and the Philippine Navy as a whole. The FOIC also conveyed full support to her as she will represent the country in the upcoming Miss Universe 2021 pageant in Eilat, Israel later this year." 








Sergeant Gomez is part of Class Matatag BCMC 01-21, Naval Reserve Center - Eastern Visayas.  


She successfully completed the Basic Citizen Military Course on March 13, 2021. 



"I had the honor of learning basic rifle marksmanship straight from the best snipers of Ph Navy as part of the Pagsasama Exercise 2021 to enhance the readiness and inter-operability of the reserve and regular force," Sgt. Gomez shared.


"I am definitely looking forward for my turn to participate in the next amphibious landing exercise and experience the struggle of balancing oneself into one of these rubber boats. 



Our passion for service is what brought us all together and through this we are reminded that we should always ask not what our country can do for us rather we should ask what we can do for our country, as said in the famous quote by JFK," a patriotic Sgt. STAR CITY TO REOPEN ON JANUARY 14

Star City , the country's biggest air conditioned, all weather theme park reopens its doors to the public on January 14, 2022.  Rebuilt with rides and attractions for all age groups, and providing moderate to extreme thrills for people of all walks of life, the park soft opening  kickstarts its move to regain a solid reputation built o seever three decades as a world-class recreational complex where the public can derive maximum enjoyment from stimulating array of indoor and outdoor attractions again and again.
