Manila, Philippines - Miss World Philippines Organization (MWPO) CEO Arnold Vegafria crowned Dindi Joy Pajares as Miss Supranational Philippines 2021 in a simple ceremony last Saturday, July 24.

28-year old Pajares, who was in tears, earned the right to represent our country in the forthcoming Miss Supranational 2021 to be staged at Strzelecki Park Amphitheater in Nowy Sącz, Małopolska, Poland.  Finals is set on August 21 with 56 contestants.

Dindi is pretty confident that she'll perform well in her stint in Poland.  She leaves on August 3.

"I’ve been joining pageants since I was 10. I’m good in pasarela, I’m good in doing my own make-up, I have a nice personality, I know how to answer Q&A portions (questions). I’m all of them…and this is something that the world should witness in Poland.

A PAL flight attendant from Orani, Bataan, Dindi was candidate no. 22 among the 45 hopefuls in the ongoing Miss World Philippines (MWP) 2021 search.

The Coronation Night was postponed anew from July 25 to August 8 because of the revised quarantine status.

Due to a limited time, the MWPO asked the 45 beauties to vote among themselves who will be sent to Poland to compete in the 12th Miss Supranational pageant.

Dindi eventually won over three other finalists : Megan Campbell (no. 11), Rufa Nava (no. 28), and Kathleen Paton (no. 38).

During the preliminaries, Dindi was named among the Top 10 in Beach Beauty, National Costume and Top Model fast-track events.

For her advocacy, Dindi fully supports the Ayta Magbukun Community and all indigenous people in Bataan.

"I’ve been supporting She Weaves, a social enterprise in Bataan, for two years now and together with the founders and the community, we march for inclusivity. Joining Miss World Philippines 2021, I fight not just for myself, but for these people in my community. I’m so excited to bring the She Weaves campaign to a much bigger platform.  This is the start of my pursuit to changing the world into a more inclusive home for all. I couldn’t have done this alone and I’m grateful to have people supporting me on this," shared Pajares.

She added, "I believe in She Weaves's mission of bridging the gap towards inclusive economic development; to make the Ayta Magbukun community “Aytapreneurs” through weaving. By weaving, they make a living. By living, dreams are happening."

Vegafria is the new national director of Miss Supranational Philippines, this is the first year MWPO is sending a delegate to the Miss Supranational pageant.

Reigning Miss Supranational is Thailand's Anntonia Porsild.

Will Dindi duplicate the victory of Mutya Johanna Datul who was hailed as Miss Supranational 2013, our country's first and only winner?

Hope springs eternal, as an adage goes. 👸👑🇵🇭💐
